WR Brady Marchese Reaffirms Commitment with Georgia Following Push from Michigan

Highly touted wide receiver Brady Marchese has officially reaffirmed his commitment to the University of Georgia, putting to rest recent speculation fueled by a late push from the Michigan Wolverines.

Marchese, a 4-star prospect out of Ohio, has been a key part of Georgia’s 2025 recruiting class since he announced his pledge earlier this year. However, Michigan intensified its recruitment efforts in recent weeks, hoping to flip the talented pass-catcher, especially given his Midwest roots and longstanding ties to Big Ten territory.

Despite Michigan’s late surge — which reportedly included in-home visits and a personal pitch from head coach Sherrone Moore — Marchese made it clear that his heart remains in Athens.

“I gave Georgia my word, and I believe in what Coach Smart and the staff are building,” Marchese said in a statement on social media. “The love and trust they’ve shown me from the start means everything. I’m 100% locked in.”

Georgia fans and coaches alike celebrated the reaffirmation, as Marchese is expected to bring size, speed, and a polished skill set to the Bulldogs’ already potent offense. His decision is a significant win for Georgia as they continue to fend off national programs for top-tier talent.

For Michigan, it’s a tough miss, but the Wolverines remain active in the wide receiver market as they work to close the gap in their 2025 class.

As the recruiting trail heats up ahead of the early signing period, Marchese’s decision serves as a reminder that verbal commitments still carry weight — especially when backed by trust and a shared vision.
