Celtic target Nygren will leave FC Nordsjaelland
Celtic are interested in signing FC Nordsjaelland winger Benjamin Nygren.
According to The Scottish Sun, he could be available for just £2m because his contract at FC Nordsjaelland expires in six months.
Speaking a few days before Celtic’s interest was made known, Nygren confirmed he will leave FC Nordsjaelland.
He said: “It’s clear that there is a lot of interest. I have done extremely well this whole season. I have scored 15 goals and a few assists in a position as a number ten.
“It is a league and a team that has a lot of interest and eyes on them, and I have been a big contributing factor to us being as good as we have been.
“I will leave. I’m not thinking about the league, but more about coming to a club that shares my ambitions and that believes in me extremely much.”
Hearts left-back James Penrice scouted
The Daily Record claim Celtic have scouted Hearts star James Penrice, but that it doesn’t necessarily mean the Hoops will launch a bid for him.
67 Hail Hail also understand that Celtic defender Cameron Carter-Vickers is wanted by a number of Premier League teams.
Our transfer correspondent Graeme Bailey told us: “I think there’s a good three or four Premier League clubs, from what I’m told, who hold a serious interest in him and I think Celtic might be up against it keeping him.
“As we know, every player has his price in this Celtic squad. And I think there’s a real danger that Carter-Vickers leaves.”

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Celtic have a ‘deal done’ for Swedish star Benjamin Nygren and has revealed two key contract details.
Celtic have been chasing Nygren for a number of weeks now and it appears that Brendan Rodgers is set to make his third summer transfer signing.
After the Hoops captured Kieran Tierney and Ross Doohan, it looks like Nygren will be heading to Parkhead to become the Celtic manager’s third summer transfer addition.
And here, Romano confirms two key details of the Swede’s contract with Celtic.

Fabrizio Romano reveals contract details of Celtic’s Benjamin Nygren deal
Celtic were told Nygren would have been an ideal signing for teams like Brondby and FC Copenhagen but it appears that those Danish clubs will need to lick their wounds as Rodgers has got his man.
Taking to X, Romano said, “Benjamin Nygren to Celtic, here we go! Deal done with Nordsjælland for €1.5m [£1.28m] transfer fee.
“Contract until June 2029 plus option until 2030.”

Theilade once gave us the rundown on Mathias Kvistgaarden during Celtic’s interest in the young Swedish winger but what he said about Nygren was very interesting.
Theilade told 67 Hail Hail, “He was a big talent when he was young. Broke through at Göteborg as a teenager, and then earned a big move to Belgium, where he failed.
“He’s been fine for Nordsjælland up until this season, where he really broke through and became a big profile for them. This season he’s been incredible and really showed himself as a high-class striker.
“With his contract running out at the end of the year, you are getting a steal here.”
