‘Unbelievable’ £75m Forward Wants to Join Liverpool Over Arsenal….
Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon reportedly favours a switch to Arne Slot’s Liverpool over Arsenal, according to TBR Football journalist Graeme Bailey.
The Reds have already landed a number of key first-team signings this summer, including the likes of Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez, though they are reluctant to shut the door on further incomings.
Slot and his entourage have kept tabs on potential wide targets amid interest in Luis Diaz, and they have now been handed a major boost in their pursuit of a winger who Arsenal have also been linked with.

As per Bailey, Gordon is expected to prioritise a move to Liverpool, despite interest from the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea, but it remains difficult to pry the 24-year-old away from St. James’ Park. He added:
“One day I think he probably will end up at Liverpool. Will it be this summer? I very much doubt it.
“But Liverpool is his preferred option. He’s on the list of the other clubs I would say. We know Chelsea and Arsenal both want that left side upgrading. It’s not a secret and it’s a player they like.
“But yeah, to get Gordon out of Newcastle, I think it’s highly, highly unlikely. Do Newcastle need to do a sale? Some clubs in football think they do and that’s why we’ve seen the Tino Livermento situation where City keep pecking away there.
“They think Newcastle will have to do something. Newcastle say they don’t, but let’s see how that progresses.”
Gordon, dubbed “unbelievable”, has cemented his place among the best wingers in the Premier League following another successful season under the tutelage of Eddie Howe. He notched nine goals and six assists last term in all competitions, and only Alexander Isak and Jacob Murphy managed more at Newcastle.

Liverpool were keen on signing the former Everton man last summer, and may well proceed with their interest if they are unable to keep Diaz, who has been approached by clubs in Saudi Arabia.
However, Newcastle are expected to demand more than £75 million for the boyhood Liverpool fan. Such a fee could begin to push the limits for the Merseyside outfit, who have splashed plenty already this summer.
