
Former Rangers star named Fulham Player of the Season..
The 25-year-old was pivotal in Rangers’ 2022 Europa League final run before moving to Ajax and then the Premier League.
Bassey has made 64 appearances in England’s top flight, with 35 of these in the 2024/25 season.
He missed just three league matches for Fulham, marking his consistency on the field.
A statement from Fulham read: “Calvin Bassey has been named Fulham’s Player of the Season for 2024/25.
“After finishing second in his maiden campaign last year, Bassey has gone one better this time around, comfortably coming out on top of the final round of voting.”
Bassey received 39.6 per cent of the fan votes, surpassing teammates Alex Iwobi and Bernd Leno.
The club lauded Bassey for being a “highly dependable figure at the back” and credited his “pace, strength and confidence bringing the ball out of defence” as key to Fulham’s success.
Bassey expressed his gratitude after receiving the accolade.
He said: “Thank you guys for voting me Player of the Season.
“I want to thank God – without God I wouldn’t be where I am.
“Big up all my team, guys who are not necessarily at the club, who have been helping me.
“Obviously, thanks to the coaching staff and the manager for trusting me and believing in me.
“Hopefully, we can do amazing things next season, so thank you for your support guys.”
