Stoke City are in transfer talks with targets and clubs over potential deals, a report from Stoke on Trent Live has said.
Stoke City are embarking on a crucial summer transfer window as they look to push away from the lower reaches of the Championship. SCFC only just survived last season, and dropping any further could result in a League One plummet.
The Potters are now under the lead of Mark Robins, who will be eager to finally deliver an upward turn in fortunes at the Bet365 Stadium.

However, highly regarded managers have come and gone, and none have truly succeeded. Poor recruitment has been viewed as a big reason behind this and the club are determined to put a change to that this summer.
Only one new player has come in at Stoke City so far, that being Sorba Thomas. However, Stoke on Trent Live reports hard work is going on to change that.
While no current targets are named in this fresh report, they state that SCFC are in continuing discussions with targets and clubs over possible deals. An increase in business is expected over the coming weeks as players and staff return from holidays for pre-season.

Stoke City will have harboured hopes of a swift Premier League return when they were relegated in 2018 but in thee seven seasons since, they have not finished above 14th once.
The decline since has been a steady one and while finishing 18th after some improved form late in the 2024/25 campaign, the close brush with relegation should be a sign to the club hierarchy that they need to change things to enact a positive turn.

Robins is widely backed as the manager to lead such an improvement, but as mentioned before, ongoing transfer talks must be for the right players and right characters if true progress is to be made.
Exits needed to pave the way for Stoke City signings?
It will be hoped that new signings can come through the door sooner rather than later, but a key part of starting on a clean slate for next season will be offloading the SCFC deadwood.
Stoke City are set to sanction exits for the likes of Andre Vidigal and Ryan Mmaee, while there could be some prized assets to move on to ease the club’s PSR position.
The latter exits are not ideal, but the Potters must keep a watchful eye on their financial situation. Despite their owners’ wealth, they have to be ran sustainably, and only sales will ensure that if they are to spend well once again.
