Anthony Elanga update as ‘improved offer’ made for Nottingham Forest ace.
Latest Nottingham Forest transfer news as Newcastle United step up interest in Reds winger Anthony Elanga.
Newcastle United are said to have put forward an improved bid for Nottingham Forest ace Anthony Elanga.
The Reds have already rejected one offer for the winger from the Magpies this summer. But it seems there has been no cooling of interest from the St James’ Park outfit.

Their previous bid of £45m was rebuffed by Forest, who reportedly made clear they had ‘no intention’ of letting the Sweden international go. Newcastle, however, have remained undeterred.
The ChronicleLive report states: “It’s a deal that head coach Eddie Howe is desperate to make for a number of reasons as he looks to finally replace Miguel Almiron but also demonstrate genuine ambition to the current star players. Although, Forest have maintained that Elanga is not for sale. Sources at St James’ Park indicate that they have not given up yet on Elanga and that if a deal that represents value to the Magpies can be struck they will push forward and talk personal terms with the 23-year-old City Ground star.”
The Reds first had to withstand interest in Elanga last summer. They batted away an attempt by Newcastle to land the wide man on deadline day 12 months ago.
