Derby were keen on the Aston Villa youngster in the January window but he ended up moving to Hull City, where his contribution was quickly curtailed by injury.

The Tigers are, or potentially more accurately were, interested in taking the 22-year-old on a full time basis this summer but have since been hit with EFL restrictions.
Sister title HullLive say City are no longer under a transfer embargo after settling an outstanding debt with Villa surrounding Barry’s loan, but a punishment for failure to make payments within a 30-day period stands, although it is claimed they are appealing.
Whatever the outcome of that case, it is reported that Barry would once again be beyond Derby’s means – but Grant could be another matter.
The 27-year-old moved to Albion in 2020 and signed a long-term deal which still has a season to run. At times he looked as though he had no future at The Hawthorns, not least when he was loaned to Cardiff City the season before last.
However, Carlos Corberan reintegrated him into the squad, before leaving for Valencia in December, and the former Huddersfield forward ended up playing 44 times last term – and scoring seven goals.
He spent his time split pretty much evenly between central striker and on the left, where it is felt he does his best work, cutting inside.
Overall he has scored 31 times in 145 games for Albion, who are under new management with rookie boss Ryan Mason taking the reins. The Baggies have Josh Maja, Daryl Dike and Devante Cole as options up front.
The Rams have bolstered their attacking options with the arrival of Andi Weimann, who can play as a second striker and centre forward Carlton Morris. They are also linked with USA international striker Patrick Agyemang.
