Champions League side eyeing move for Coventry City star..
Coventry City midfielder Jack Rudoni’s excellent season has attracted interest from Newcastle United, according to Craig Hope.
Coventry City fell short in the Championship play-offs this May and are now gearing up for another season in the second tier. The Sky Blues suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Sunderland, but they’ll head into the new campaign determined to mount another promotion push.

Frank Lampard has a strong squad at his disposal at the CBS Arena, but few stood out more than attacking midfielder Jack Rudoni. Unsurprisingly, his impressive displays have attracted interest from the Premier League.

A Champions League side has their eye on Rudoni now, according to the Daily Mail’s reporter Craig Hope. Hope has claimed that Newcastle United have set their sights on Rudoni as a potential target this summer.
Any deal for Rudoni is reliant on whether Sean Longstaff completes a move away from the club. Last season’s Championship winners, Leeds United, are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Longstaff.
It is unknown as of yet how big a bid it would take to prize Rudoni away from Coventry City. He is under contract with CCFC until the summer of 2028.

A phenomenal season
Rudoni was one of the Championship’s standout performers last season. In 43 games, he managed 21 goal contributions for the Sky Blues and added another goal during their play-off run.
After such a good campaign, Coventry City will be desperate to keep Rudoni. With the future looking bright at CCFC, they will hope the prospect of continuing to work under Lampard could keep him happy.

Premier League interest could challenge their resolve, and Newcastle United are not the only club with reported interest, however with European football coming to Tyneside this summer, Rudoni would no doubt be keen. Whether these rumours lead to anything remains to be seen.
Coventry’s history with sales
Coventry City have a track record of selling their top talents when the right offers come along. They’ve proven willing to cash in when it suits them.
That said, the Sky Blues are also known for playing the long game, often holding onto key players in pursuit of higher fees later on.

They took this approach with both Viktor Gyökeres and Gustavo Hamer, and Milan van Ewijk now appears to be in a similar situation. The Dutchman could be tempted away this summer, if the price is right.
