How much Nottingham Forest will actually receive from Newcastle for Anthony Elanga.
Nottingham Forest News can exclusively reveal how much the club will make from the sale of Anthony Elanga to Newcastle.
Forest have agreed a deal to sell Elanga, with Newcastle putting the winger through a medical, which looks set to be completed this week.
Elanga signed for Forest from Manchester United for a fee of £15 million in the summer of 2023, and he filled the void left by Brennan Johnson superbly well.
The 23-year-old has registered 31 goal contributions in two seasons at the club, with Forest now identifying Johan Bakayoko as one potential replacement.

How much Nottingham Forest will receive for Anthony Elanga
There have been some contrasting reports regarding the actual fee that Forest will receive from Newcastle for the player.
Nottingham Forest News’ transfer expert, Graeme Bailey, has now lifted the lid on this and believes Forest will likely get the £60 million they craved in this deal.
He exclusively told us: “Forest have confirmed to me that the upfront fee is £55 million with £5 million in the way of add-ons.
“Others have been feeding out that it’s less and with these things it’s obviously very rare that the clubs come out and publicly print the fee. With that in mind, you get clubs saying slightly different things.

“Forest said from the off with this one that they wanted a £60m deal for Elanga and perhaps Newcastle are being clever with £55m as they haven’t denied there are extras but it’s just how obtainable they actually are.
“Obviously, we have to see how things pan out but we might not actually know for a few years just how much Newcastle end up paying for Elanga.”
Elanga will help Forest break transfer record
This sale will see Forest once again break their record for a fee received for one player.
Two years ago that happened when Johnson was sold to Tottenham and it’s a sign that Forest are doing something right on the recruitment front.
In an ideal world, Forest would have reached the Champions League and kept hold of the whole squad, although this isn’t an ideal world.
As it goes, Newcastle got into the major European competition ahead of Forest and now Forest are at the mercy of clubs such as the Magpies.
The club remain ambitious, however, and now it will be exciting to see who the club can attract to replace the outgoing Elanga before the season gets underway.
