Sunderland confirm three new arrivals to coaching team..
THE new make-up and structure of Regis Le Bris’ Sunderland backroom team has been confirmed, with three new arrivals at the club ahead of the coming Premier League season.
Luciano Vulcano has arrived as Le Bris’ new assistant head coach, and the Italian is joined by fellow new recruits Isidre Ramón Madir and Neil Cutler.
The trio will join Michael Proctor and Pedro Ribiero in assisting Le Bris, while the arrival of goalkeeper coach Cutler means Alessandro Barcherini, former head of goalkeeping, has now moved into an assistant coach role on a permanent basis. He will focus primarily on Sunderland’s defensive unit and individual development plans.
Sunderland targeted Vulcano after the 37-year-old left Al-Nassr at the end of last season.

Vulcano had spent nine months in Saudi assisting Stefano Pioli, overseeing a squad that features the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane and Jhon Duran.
Pioli left Saudi Arabia at the end of last season to take charge of Italian side Fiorentina, and while Vulcano was offered the opportunity to follow him to Serie A, the former number two decided not to keep the partnership intact.
Instead, he made himself open to alternative offers, and Sunderland moved quickly. Vulcano previously had spells at Inter Milan, Fiorentina and AC Milan.
Madir, who will lead on opposition analysis, has vast experience having previously worked for clubs including Barcelona, Valencia, OGC Nice, and Paris Saint-Germain, as well as having spells with the Spain and Iraq national teams.
Cutler, 48, made more than 200 appearances during his playing career before transitioning into coaching.
He’s previously held coaching roles at West Brom, Aston Villa and Wolves, and also had a spell as goalkeeper coach for England Under-20s.
