Atlético Madrid considering €55m Nottingham Forest player after Tottenham disappointment…
Atlético Madrid have identified Nottingham Forest’s Murillo as one of their alternatives to Tottenham Hotspur’s Cristian Romero.
The La Liga club have been keen on signing the 27-year-old Argentine this summer but haven’t managed to convince Tottenham.
Earlier today, AS reported Tottenham have rejected an approach for Romero and warned them their offer won’t be considered. The Madrid club are forced to look for other options and this is where the Nottingham Forest player comes into the picture.
A fresh report from AS now explains Atlético have indentified Feyenoord’s Dávid Hancko and Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapié, along Murillo and Bologna’s Jhon Lucumí.
It’s claimed the 23-year-old Brazilian is a lesser-known option for Diego Simeone’s side, who are considering making a move for him this summer.
Murillo has regularly impressed for Nottingham Forest since joining them from Corinthians in August 2023 and Nuno Espírito Santo’s side rewarded him with a new contract which lasts until 2029. AS put a €55m value on the defender.
The report makes no mention whether of Murillo is open to leaving Nottingham Forest for the Spanish club.
