Sheffield Wednesday expect to receive fresh cash boost as player wage and Danny Rohl updates emerge..
Two updates surrounding Sheffield Wednesday have now emerged amid the club’s ongoing financial problems.
Monday was a crucial day for Sheffield Wednesday, with manager Danny Rohl making his return to training.
It follows an active weekend that saw a new name in the takeover of the Owls emerge.
But while there is thought to have been some progress in a potential takeover of Sheffield Wednesday, there is still the small matter of players going unpaid.
Josh Windass wants to leave the club, and he is among several stars who could have handed in their notice amid the club’s failure to pay out salaries.
Now, an update on wages, as well as an insight into Rohl’s return, has been provided this week.

Sheffield Wednesday expect cash boost amid player wage update
Sutura Kakay has agreed to join Southampton, and the Yorkshire club are receiving compensation from that move.
Elsewhere, Anthony Musaba is leaving to link up with Turkish side Samsunspor and Wednesday are receiving money from that deal.
Now, The Star have shared an update on the club paying wages with the July 15 deadline now upon us.
Players who handed in their 15-day notice can leave for free if wages remain unpaid, but it’s now reported that some stars received their wages on the evening of July 14, though who and how many remains unclear.
It’s added that the Owls are ‘expecting a lump sum’ when Djeidi Gassama’s move to Rangers is finalised.

Danny Rohl meeting with Sheffield Wednesday players
Rohl and his players reunited on Monday, with clear-the-air talks understood to have taken place.
And The Star have also shared some insight into what went down between the German and the Owls stars.
Exactly what was said remains unclear, though it’s reported that ‘a frank exchange of views was aired’.
No matter what was said in the meeting, however, EFL Analysis previously revealed that Sheffield Wednesday’s hierarchy essentially told players that Rohl will not be sacked regardless of their frustration at his actions this summer.
