Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes has now given his thoughts on the new 2025/26 home shirt.
Gomes was influential in the middle of the park for Wolves. The 24-year-old continued to showcase his abilities as a ball-winning machine while blossoming alongside Brazilian teammate Andre.
In the Premier League last term, Gomes won the third most tackles, only being beaten by Daniel Munoz and Idrissa Gueye in the standings.
Matt Murray also thinks Gomes can become ‘one of the best’, which demonstrates just how highly thought of he is at Molineux.
Ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, the Brazilian powerhouse will have new goals to set, and he’s certainly excited to wear the new Wolves shirt.

Joao Gomes loves Wolves’ new 2025/26 home shirt
Wolves unveiled their new home kit for the 2025/26 season on Thursday, and it was an instant hit with the supporters.
Drawing inspiration from iconic Wolves kits from the past, most notably the bold designs of the 1970s, fans couldn’t get enough of it.
The kit was released in stores on Friday, June 27, and to get supporters even more excited for the release, Gomes was asked to review it.

The midfielder pointed out the striking V-collar as a feature he ‘really likes’, referring to the great Pele, who was known for moving the collar upwards.
“I really like this you know [points to the collar],” Gomes said. “This is beautiful and if you also want to style it, you know, for Pele like this. And this is perfect for me.”
Wolves will hope a wonderful campaign is on the horizon to go with their beautiful kit, with Gomes no doubt playing a huge part.

Wolves pre-season fixtures
The Wolves squad will return for pre-season at some point in July, and new signing Fer Lopez will be eager to make an impact.
So far, the club have announced four friendly fixtures, including trips to Stoke City and RC Lens before jetting off to Spain to take on Girona and then hosting Celta Vigo at Molineux.
26 July v Stoke City (A)
30 July v RC Lens (Walsall’s Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium)
3 August v Girona (A)
9 August v Celta Vigo (H)
Supporters will pray that by the time their first pre-season fixture rolls around, multiple signings will be through the door.
Pereira still needs a new centre-back, left wing-back, right wing-back, central midfielder, an attacking midfielder and a striker as a telling summer awaits.
