Marcus Rashford increasingly certain of joining Barcelona on loan.
Marcus Rashford is reportedly increasingly optimistic about joining Barcelona on loan from Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by SPORT, as relayed by Sport Witness, Marcus Rashford remains the subject of interest from Barcelona. The Catalan giants are keen on bolstering their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker in the summer transfer window. So, the 27-year-old Manchester United outcast is a target for the Blaugrana.
The Englishman is pushing to join Barcelona in the summer transfer window, although the Catalan outfit can only afford a loan deal. However, Rashford is “increasingly certain” that he will complete his dream move to Barcelona. Meanwhile, the academy graduate’s entourage may mull over legal action against Manchester United if they feel his “rights as a professional footballer with a contract were being violated”.
Marcus Rashford and his miserable Manchester United situation
Marcus Rashford is reaching an undesirable end to his long association with Manchester United. The 27-year-old became a peripheral figure soon after Ruben Amorim arrived at Old Trafford and spent the second half of the 2024/25 season with Arsenal. He amassed four goals and six assists in 17 appearances across all competitions for the West Midlands outfit. However, a permanent move to Villa Park has not seen the light of day.
Meanwhile, the English international has no future at Manchester United, with Ruben Amorim keen on accelerating his departure from Old Trafford. However, Rashford has no shortage of clubs pursuing his signature, with Barcelona among the prospective suitors vying for his services in the summer transfer window.
Will Rashford achieve his dream?
Barcelona’s interest in Marcus Rashford is understandable. The 2024/25 La Liga winners are combing the market for a versatile attacker after allowing Ansu Fati to join AS Monaco on loan earlier this summer. In addition, Ferran Torres faces an uncertain future at the Catalan club, even though he has committed his future to the Blaugrana.
So, Rashford has emerged as a viable target, with the Englishman pushing to seal a summer move to Barcelona. However, the Catalan giants can only secure his services on loan, leaving all three parties in a spot of bother, considering Manchester United would prefer a permanent exit. Nevertheless, Rashford is “increasingly certain” of joining Barcelona this summer.
However, the “battle between the 27-year-old and Manchester United is getting tougher”. That may compel Rashford’s entourage to seek legal action against Manchester United if they feel his “rights as a professional footballer with a contract were being violated”. So, a bitter separation between the two parties may be on the cards amid his desire to seal a dream move to Barcelona.
