Leeds United Manchester United vying for Senne Lammens..

Leeds United and Manchester United are reportedly keen on signing 23-year-old Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Gazet van Antwerpen, as relayed by Sport Witness, Senne Lammens has garnered a market in the Premier League with his exploits for Royal Antwerp. Leeds United, Sunderland, and Manchester United are interested in signing the 23-year-old goalkeeper from the Belgian club in the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils, in particular, have “already thoroughly investigated” the Zottegem native at Royal Antwerp. Meanwhile, the Belgian club will demand around €20 million to part ways with Lammens in the summer transfer window.

Senne Lammens and his career so far
Senne Lammens has established himself as one of the best young prospects in the Jupiler Pro League since joining Royal Antwerp from Club Brugge in July 2023. A native of Zottegem, the 23-year-old spent his formative years in Belgium, passing through the academies at RC Bambrugge and FCV Dender EH before graduating from the youth division at Club Brugge.

However, the Belgian goalkeeper has come leaps and bounds during his spell with Royal Antwerp in the last two years, turning out over 50 times thus far while keeping 12 clean sheets and conceding 82 goals. Meanwhile, Lammens has piqued the attention of several well-known clubs with his exploits for Royal Antwerp, with Leeds United and Manchester United vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.

Premier League move on the horizon?

Senne Lammens has been on Manchester United’s radar for a long time. The continued interest is understandable, considering Andre Onana has blown hot and cold since arriving at Old Trafford from Inter Milan two years ago. In addition, Altay Bayindir has not proven himself able enough to challenge Onana for the first-choice goalkeeper’s berth. So, Lammens has emerged as a viable target for Manchester United.

As for Leeds United, Illan Meslier has been dreadful in the last few seasons, and Daniel Farke wants a better player between the sticks. So, several candidates, including Yahia Fofana, have emerged on the newly promoted Premier League club’s radar, with Lammens also an option worth considering.

Meanwhile, Royal Antwerp will demand around €20 million to part ways with the 23-year-old Belgian goalkeeper in the summer transfer window. The price tag is affordable, and it will be interesting to see if Leeds United and Manchester United fork out €20 million to sign Lammens in the summer transfer window.
