It emerged a few days ago that Gibbs-White had set Monday as the deadline for his Tottenham transfer as he did not want to fly out to Portugal with the Forest squad for their pre-season training camp.

However, The Athletic have now claimed that the midfielder is expected to accompany the squad on their trip to Portugal tomorrow, although his future remains uncertain.

Forest play two friendlies in Portugal, taking on Fulham on Saturday, July 27, before playing Estoril Praia on Tuesday, July 30.

The report added that it has been business as usual for Gibbs-White at Forest over the last week, with the midfielder working hard behind the scenes and not creating any disruptions.

Morgan Gibbs-White unwilling to force a move to Tottenham
Some sources have pointed out over the last week that Gibbs-White may have the legal right to force a move to Tottenham, given that his release clause has been met.

However, journalist Ben Jacobs has said that Gibbs-White is unwilling to agitate for a move to Spurs as he does not want to leave Forest on bad terms.

Jamie O’Hara has urged Gibbs-White to sue Forest and take matters into his own hands, but it appears as if the 25-year-old is happy to let this controversy play out on its own.
