Isak, 25, faces an uncertain future at St James Park, and according to a report from L’Equipe, the Swede is now subject to interest from Saudi Arabia. The Riyad-based outfit, who are owned by PIF like Newcastle, have entered negotiations with Isak.
The report adds that Al-Hilal are in the market for a striker, but have fallen short in their pursuits of Victor Osimhen, Dusan Vlahovic and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
According to the French outlet, Isak has agreed to open negotiations with Al-Hilal, not necessarily for a transfer, but as a way to listen to their financial and sporting arguments.

Isak has also been the subject of heavy transfer interest from Liverpool last week after the Reds made contact with Newcastle regarding a British record transfer.
Arne Slot’s side informed Newcastle they were ready to do a deal in the region of £120million to sign their star striker. However, Newcastle insisted that Isak is not for sale, and Liverpool appear to have instead turned their attention to Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike.
Isak’s agent has now broke his silence about his clients future to the Saudi Arabian media on Sunday evening.
Speaking to Saudi Arabian newspaper Arriyadiyah, Gonzalo Gaitan said: “We are indeed studying and analysing all options, and we may be close to finalising the next step for the player.
