This is because Nottingham Forest are alleging that Spurs made an ‘illegal approach’ to Gibbs-White without asking their permission and they are also unhappy that the midfielder’s confidential release clause has been leaked.

Mohammed Kudus showed up late for training twice at West Ham last week to pressure them into selling to Spurs, and some Tottenham Hotspur fans would be hoping that Gibbs-White is doing something similar.
However, The Athletic have now made it clear that the England international’s absence from training has nothing to do with his proposed move to N17.
The outlet says that the players who were on international duty are not expected to report back in training at Forest until later this week.
With Gibbs-White featuring for England in their World Cup qualifiers last month, he was always not going to be part of the first group of Forest players who returned to training last week.
