The Sheffield Wednesday boss had returned to the club after his summer exile, where he actively looked to move on from S6.

As a takeover at Sheffield Wednesday looked more likely, Rohl returned to training; however, the Owls camp was left divided after his actions in the summer.

Unfortunately, things have gone pear-shaped for the Owls – Sheffield Wednesday’s takeover has hit murky waters, and now they are set to relieve Rohl of his duties.

Henrik Pedersen is a brilliant Danny Rohl replacement at Sheffield Wednesday
The Sheffield Wednesday camp will be in dire need of a leader in the dugout following Danny Rohl’s departure from the club. After taking over from Xisco Munoz, Rohl created and maintained a brilliant relationship with players, something that his successor will have to recreate.

Thankfully, Sheffield Wednesday managed to tie down Henrik Pedersen to a new deal, someone who was a highly respected and liked figure in Rohl’s coaching staff.

Pedersen has previously referred to the Sheffield Wednesday squad as a ‘great group’, and his love for the squad is reciprocated.

Barry Bannan has already shown why the Owls should turn towards Henrik Pedersen
If Henrik Pedersen is handed the top job at Sheffield Wednesday, which would be likely due to Rohl’s imminent departure, he would have the support of Owls legend Barry Bannan.

Despite being out of contract at the club, there is still hope that he can continue his stay in S6, with the Scotsman keen to lead Sheffield Wednesday once again this season.

He will certainly be handed further motivation to stay at the club with it looking likely that Pedersen will take over at Sheffield Wednesday especially after what he has previously said about the Dane.

Speaking to The Star back in February, Bannan said: “He’s a bit mad!” Bannan chuckled. “He shouts a lot but he is amazing really, coaching-wise and tactically he’s unbelievable and he can have a laugh as well, which is good.

“He’s got a bit of everything about him but his actual tactical side is crazy. He’s very vocal on the training pitch and he takes a lot of the sessions.

“Tactically, when it comes to building up with the ball and stuff, he offers these little tips that are just crazy. You’ll be out on the pitch and something will happen and it’ll trigger you back to something that he said would happen.

“He’s really good at his job and he’s a lovely man as well which is a bonus. He’s a good guy to have, he’s very energetic.”
