Unexpected development could now see Everton fast-track next signing after ‘advanced’ talks
Everton fans will have been wanting to see more business done than two new faces and Carlos Alcaraz retained permanently.
With the flight taking off for the United States in a matter of hours, David Moyes will just have to deal with the squad he has been given.
Of course, there is still time in the window for Everton to strengthen, but this summer promised to be transformational.
