The 62-year-old saw a number of players depart as free agents last month, yet new additions have been few and far between.
Everton are keen to improve their midfield this summer on the back of Idrissa Gana Gueye’s new contract.
There are a number of options on Everton’s radar, but there is one name cropping up more than others.
Douglas Luiz is on Everton’s radar, and there is now a clear feeling emerging over a potential move on the back of recent developments.

Douglas Luiz’s agent is in England for Everton talks
It is now believed Luiz’s agents are set for Everton talks after jetting into England to tour Premier League clubs for discussions.
The Toffees, as has become the norm, will face serious competition from other Premier League clubs for the signature of Luiz.

However, according to journalist Gianni Balzarini, there is a feeling that a move to Everton for Luiz could soon be completed.
“Douglas Luiz’s agent is in England, he’s touring English teams—not to London to visit the Queen’s Palace, but he’s touring the King’s Palace, because now the King is here,” he said on his YouTube channel.
“Once upon a time there was the Queen, now there’s the King. Everton, however, has an advantage over other teams, other clubs. There’s a feeling that the deal could be concluded soon.”
With speculation surrounding his future, Luiz did not report for Juventus training on Thursday and is set to be punished by the Old Lady.
Everton fans would like to see Luiz signed, and concluding a deal for him sooner rather than later would certainly please Moyes.

Douglas Luiz is pushing for a Juventus exit
It has already been suggested that Luiz is keen to return to the Premier League following his departure from Aston Villa.
The latest news of the midfielder’s refusal to turn up for training in Turin will only emphasise the speculation over his future.
Given he has not exactly thrived in Serie A, it would be hard to imagine Juventus will stand in his way this summer over a return to England.
However, Juventus are keen to receive a healthy fee for Luiz, given there is so much interest growing in his services.
Everton have already lost out on some of their targets this summer to Premier League rivals, and this will be one that Moyes will be keen to secure for the new season.
