Reunion on the cards as Nottingham Forest ‘considering signing’ Nuno favourite..
Latest Nottingham Forest transfer news as Nuno Espirito Santo’s Reds target summer window signings
A new name has emerged as a transfer target for Nottingham Forest in their search for winger reinforcements.
Strengthening out wide is a top priority for the Reds in what is proving to be a challenging summer window. They have already lost Anthony Elanga and Ramon Sosa, and Jota Silva is wanted by Sporting Lisbon.
Forest have made two signings so far, bringing in Brazilian duo Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha from Botafogo. Further additions are required to ensure head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has sufficient strength in depth for a European campaign in 2025/26.

According to ESPN, Fulham’s Adama Traore is being eyed by the Reds as they look to get deals over the line. The 29-year-old is well-known to Nuno, with the pair having worked together at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
A move elsewhere could be on the cards for Traore in the coming weeks as he is said to be ‘weighing up several options’. The City Ground is reportedly one potential destination, with Forest ‘considering signing’ the wide man.
Traore joined Fulham on a free transfer two years ago after leaving Wolves. He featured 36 times in the league for the Cottagers last term – although half of those appearances came from off the bench – and scored two goals.
One of the Spaniard’s league starts came in his team’s 2-1 win over Forest at Craven Cottage in February. He gave Neco Williams a torrid time on that occasion and set up Emile Smith Rowe for the hosts’ opening goal.
As it stands, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Jota are the two remaining wingers in Nuno’s squad. Josh Bowler remains on the books but is expected to move on before the window closes.
Midfielders Nicolas Dominguez and Elliot Anderson are capable of operating out wide, but the duo are not long-term solutions for a department in need of additional resources. Several players have been linked with moves Trentside, with Bologna’s Ndoye a key target, but the club have not yet been able to bolster their wide numbers.
Nuno’s men are currently in Portugal on a pre-season training camp. They take on Fulham in their third friendly of the summer this evening (8pm kick-off BST).
The Reds’ opening two friendlies, against Chesterfield and Monaco, ended in 0-0 draws. Their Premier League campaign begins at home to Brentford on August 17.
