Benjamin Sesko has now decided who he would prefer to join between Manchester United and Newcastle…

Manchester United and Newcastle are both searching for a new frontman.

Alexander Isak is looking to leave Newcastle amid interest from Liverpool, and having already released Callum Wilson, Eddie Howe is in desperate need of a new face in his striker department.

At Old Trafford, Ruben Amorim watched Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee muster up just seven Premier League goals between them last season, so Manchester United understandably want more firepower in attack.

Benjamin Sesko is a striker being considered by both – and Leipziger Volkszeitung now reveal who the RB Leipzig No.30 prefers out of Manchester United and Newcastle.

Benjamin Sesko prefers Manchester United
The Leipzig-based news outlet now state that the Slovenia international would much prefer a move to Manchester United this summer instead of a switch to Newcastle.

Leipziger Volkszeitung write that both the Red Devils and the Magpies are in talks with the representatives of Sesko, but are yet to open discussions with RB Leipzig.

It is also said that RB Leipzig are already preparing for life after the Slovenian – as Romulo Cardoso of Goztepe has agreed personal terms with the Bundesliga club.

The man born in Radece scored 21 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions for RB Leipzig last season, also providing six assists.

TBR Football understand Sesko is open to joining Newcastle this summer if Manchester United fail to firm up their interest with a bid.

Benjamin Sesko has already named his dream club, and it’s not Manchester United or Newcastle
If Real Madrid were not already able to boast the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior in their attack, there might have been more talk of the RB Leipzig talisman moving to Spain.

Sesko named Real Madrid as the club of his dreams when speaking to Slovenian news outlet Siol back in December 2023, saying: “I would love to play for Real Madrid. These are big words, but I will try my best, and then we will see where it will take me.”

Therefore, if a move to Manchester United or Newcastle does materialise for the 22-year-old this summer, there would need to be an element of caution towards the Spanish giants in future if he impresses in England.
