Adam Wharton makes ‘major decision’ on summer transfer: Will he move to Liverpool?

Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton reportedly wants to stay at Selhurst Park for the 2025-26 season amid interest from Liverpool.

The Reds are choc-a-bloc with top-quality midfielders, but they do retain an interest in Wharton, who has excelled in the Premier League since moving from Blackburn Rovers in the January window of 2024.

The 21-year-old, who missed three months of action last season after a groin operation in November, is widely regarded as one of the top young talents in the country, and clubs such as Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have expressed interest in him.

According to a report from The Sun, Wharton has made a ‘major decision’ about staying at Palace, and that makes Liverpool favourites to land him next summer.

The Reds, however, could face strong competition from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur for Wharton, who still has more than four years left on his contract at Selhurst Park.
