Pereira has done a great job at Wolves so far.

He came in midway through the 2024/25 season, and got Wolves back on the straight and narrow after a woeful start by Gary O’Neil.

He guided Wolves to 16th and 42 points, but expectations will now be greater.

He guided Wolves to 16th and 42 points, but expectations will now be greater.

But Bull reckons Pereira will want to attack the season, and feels the Wolves manager will aim for a top 10 finish.

He also believes the Portuguese will try to ‘sell himself’.

He said in his latest E&S column: “Pereira had to pick up the pieces last season from Gary O’Neil and he guided us to safety.

“I am not sure he wants to do that this year. I think he wants to sell himself and get us at least in the top half of the table this season.

Wolves not currently equipped for top 10 finish
If the new season started tomorrow, there is simply no way Wolves would finish in the top 10.

The squad is significantly weaker for not having Cunha, Ait-Nouri and Sarabia, and Pereira has even admitted to being worried about player sales.

It is now so crucial for Wolves to respond in the transfer market.

There can be no hope of finishing in the top 10 if Wolves don’t adequately replace those three players.

Bull’s claim that Pereira will look to ‘sell himself’ is intriguing. There have already been some whispers about other clubs appreciating the job he has done at Molineux.

If things do go south and Pereira doesn’t finish the season with Wolves, one would imagine he likely wouldn’t be short of suitors.
