Wolves confirm loan exit for Nigel Lonwijk
Chiquinho spent the 2024/25 season out on loan, as did centre-back Nigel Lonwijk, who is now set for his next adventure.

Lonwijk has spent the previous three campaigns on loan in League One, a figure that’s about to grow to four.

The Dutchman has completed a loan move to Luton Town, who were just relegated from the second to the third tier.

Nigel Lonwijk has signed a new deal and will spend the 2025/26 season on loan at @LutonTown.

All the best, Nigel! 👊

Upon the 22-year-old’s departure, it was confirmed by Wolves that the defender had signed a new contract ahead of his departure.

Express and Star revealed that the contract length is one year, as the centre-back’s previous deal had expired last month.

The contract represents the opportunity for Wolves to land a cash reward on Lonwijk, who joined during Nuno Espirito Santo’s reign.

The end is in sight for Lonwijk at Wolves
Despite Wolves tying the 22-year-old down for another year, the end of the road is in sight for Lonwijk.

When Luton Town confirmed the move on their official website, it was revealed that the player’s loan includes an obligation to buy.

The Hatters will be obligated to purchase the Dutchman if certain criteria are met, which would end his time on Wolves’ books.

Despite being at Wolves since 2020 Lonwijk is yet to make a senior appearance for the Old Gold something that isn’t likely to change.
