‘I Can Say’ – Romano Drops Exciting Arsenal Transfer Update After Gyokeres…
Arsenal are considering the possibility of signing another attacking player after securing a deal for Viktor Gyokeres, journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed.
The Gunners remain on the lookout for reinforcements to Mikel Arteta’s frontline and still view Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze as a ‘strong’ option to arrive next.
Arsenal reportedly held positive talks with the player’s camp several weeks ago but have yet to approach Palace with an initial bid.
RB Leipzig starlet Xavi Simons was also considered by the Emirates hierarchy, although Chelsea appear to be leading the race for the Dutchman at the moment.

Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel, confirmed that Arsenal’s transfer business is not yet complete, with another attacker potentially on Arteta’s radar:
“Arsenal are still considering the possibility of signing one more offensive player.
“Eberechi Eze remains a strong option. They had very good contact with the player’s camp already weeks ago, waiting to see when and if they will approach Crystal Palace.
“Don’t forget that Arsenal also appreciate Xavi Simons, but Chelsea are really pushing on that one at the moment. So let’s see what’s gonna happen there.
“But for sure, Arsenal are not done on the market, and I think there could be also more things to keep an eye on, in case there will be some outgoings.
“So let’s wait. Let’s see for Arsenal now, these days were really important in the Gyokeres saga, and they got it done.
“So now let’s wait. Let’s see, and then at that point, we will understand more on the next movements for Arsenal. But I can say that I don’t think Arsenal are done in the market yet.”
Arsenal are now close to completing Gyokeres’ long-awaited switch from Sporting, after reaching an agreement over a £64m deal for the Sweden international.
Gyokeres’ arrival will take Arsenal’s summer spending close to £200m and mark their fifth signing of the window, following Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard and Noni Madueke.
The Gunners are also set to announce the arrival of centre-back Cristhian Mosquera, who will soon join their pre-season tour in Singapore, having spent the last few days finalising a move from Valencia.
