Everton target misses training just days after flight to England
Despite it being quiet on the transfer front, there have been developments elsewhere in recent days.
This is through Everton wanting Bayern’s Adam Aznou as Moyes has been on The Friedkins’ back about bringing in a new full-back this summer.
His wish could finally be coming true, but an inexperienced defender isn’t going to solve Everton’s problems; however, someone who might is Douglas Luiz.
Luiz has been high on Everton’s radar this summer, with it clear that the former Aston Villa midfielder is unhappy at Juventus.
It’s been made even clearer as Luiz wants a Premier League return, and with Moyes’ side in the picture, this could be the case for Everton.
Luiz visited England to hold talks with clubs, as Nottingham Forest are also in the frame, but to practically confirm how much the Brazilian wants to leave the Turin club, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Luiz ‘did not show up’ for pre-season training.

To bring in a player of Luiz’s pedigree would be an excellent buy for Everton’s exciting project.
After having talks with clubs, he’s clearly trying to push for a move out of Italy, as his success in the Premier League speaks volumes as to why he wants to return.
Luiz does want to play more for Brazil as well, which explains why he’s seeking a move back to the best league in the world.
But whether that’s playing for Everton remains to be seen as Forest are firmly on his case.
The Friedkins aren’t just letting Forest pass by in this case though, as Everton have offered £26m for Luiz, but the only problem is that Juve want somewhere around £35m.
With Juventus now frustrated by Luiz’s bold decision to miss training, his destiny only appears to be heading one way, and it’s up to Everton to persuade him with a move to Merseyside.
