
Hearts v Sunderland Team News: Dan Neil back in Black Cats side…
DAN NEIL returns to Sunderland’s starting side as the Black Cats continue their pre-season preparations at Hearts this afternoon.
Neil did not feature in the starting line-up for either of Sunderland’s matches on their recent trip to Portugal.
However, the homegrown midfielder is back in the starting XI at Tynecastle, with Habib Diarra dropping down to the substitutes’ bench.
In total, Regis Le Bris has made three changes to the side that started Sunderland’s most recent friendly against Sporting CP on Monday night.
Simon Moore starts in goal, replacing Blondy Nna Noukeu, who was at fault for Sporting ‘s winner on the Algarve.
Niall Huggins gets the nod to start at left-back this afternoon, playing alongside Jenson Seelt, Dan Ballard and Trai Hume in the back four.
Summer signings Chemsdine Talbi and Simon Adingra will start in Sunderland’s front three, playing on either side of central striker Eliezer Mayenda. Today’s game is a testimonial fixture for former Sunderland goalkeeper Craig Gordon.
