Adam Wharton willing to wait for Liverpool
The respected journalist now states on Patreon that the Blackburn Rovers academy graduate is happy to stay at Selhurst Park for the 2025/26 campaign before joining Liverpool next summer, instead of moving to Tottenham this summer. Crystal Palace are in a fantastic position when it comes to Wharton, as there is no release clause in his contract, and that deal still has plenty of time left before it expires in June 2029.
However, the same cannot be said about Eberechi Eze, who is a target for Arsenal and has a £68m release clause in his terms. What Adam Wharton has already said about Ryan Gravenberch
Wharton has already admitted that he is a fan of Ryan Gravenberch at Liverpool, who he could soon be partnering in midfield at Anfield.
When asked to name some of his most challenging opponents, the Crystal Palace maestro told The Times: “When we played (against Liverpool), Ryan Gravenberch was good.”
Nixon has previously stated that Liverpool have been scouting Wharton since the summer of 2023 when he was still at Blackburn, so if he enjoys another impressive season next term, the Reds could well opt to spend a significant amount to finally get this deal done.
