Newcastle United are pushing to complete the signing of Jacob Ramsey from Aston Villa,
Jacob Ramsey’s move from Aston Villa to Newcastle United is not yet complete, but it’s edging closer.
It is expected that Newcastle will wrap up the deal worth £40 million, which would boost Villa’s position regarding the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.
Ramsey’s sale would be banked as pure profit in the club’s books.
He came through the Villa academy and has made 167 appearances for the club in all competitions since his debut in February 2019.

He featured 45 times in all competitions last season, including 29 appearances in the Premier League.
However, in 2023/24 he started only eight games, enduring a torrid spell with injuries that began in the summer of 2023 while on international duty with England U21s.
