Boston Celtics Forward Responds To Cleveland Chants That Say “We Want Boston”
The goal for the Celtics is to make another fan base regret its statements.
After Cleveland completed a Game 7 victory over the Orlando Magic on Sunday, Cavaliers supporters could be heard chanting “we want Boston” outside of Rocket Mortgage Field House as well.
They were heard by the Boston Celtics as well, who will play the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference playoffs if Cleveland advances.
A Celtics player even went so far as to respond to the audacious declaration on social media.
“Are you hearing the chants?” In a since-deleted post on the X platform, Celtics reserve forward Oshae Brissett wrote with his hands covering the face emoji.
Brissett, who didn’t play much in Boston’s first-round series against Miami, clearly thinks Cavaliers supporters should be cautious about their wishes after Heat supporters made the same request.
The Heat were easily defeated by the top-seeded Celtics, who took the series to five games. Miami was defeated four times by an average score of twenty-two points against Boston.
Since the Celtics won’t be playing at their best, the No. 4 Cavaliers should present a more difficult challenge. Due to a calf injury, star center Kristaps Porzingis will probably miss the whole series.
In any case, the Celtics will try to make another fan base regret what they said and yet possess enough firepower to defeat the Cavaliers.
