The Toronto Raptors will have a short bench again when they travel to play the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night.

Kelly Olynyk and RJ Barrett are both out of the picture for the second night of a back-to-back. Barrett’s left knee ailment has caused him to miss a few straight games. Olynyk will take a break, the team declared.

Due to a right groin issue, Gradey Dick is still doubtful for Tuesday’s game against the Indiana Pacers. On Sunday, during the fourth quarter of the Washington Wizards game, he sustained the injury.

Gary Trent Jr. and Bruce Brown have both reappeared on the injured report. Due to back spasms, Trent is doubtful to participate, while Brown is also questionable due to inflammation in his right knee.

Immanuel Quickley will return to the Raptors after a one-game “rest” break. Towards the end, the team has made an effort to ease the pressure on a few of its most important players.

Although Scottie Barnes and Jakob Poeltl are both officially out for the season, it is highly unlikely that they will both return for Toronto with three games remaining.

It is official that neither player will participate on Wednesday night.

Jontay Porter, DJ Carton, and Chris Boucher have also been disqualified.

Malik Williams should play a big role against Brooklyn, maybe starting at center for Toronto.

The previous time the Raptors rested Olynyk, they lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves 48 points to 48, and he began.

Ben Simmons, Jaylen Martin, Dennis Smith Jr., Dariq Whitehead, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Keita Bates-Diop won’t be playing for the Nets. Cameron Johnson, Jacob Gilyard, and Nic Claxton are likely to participate.
